How Long Does It Take To Create a Balayage Look?

The length of your balayage appointment will depend on whether we are adding colour throughout your hair, or just adding a few face framing highlights. Book in for a balayage consultation where our Makeover Palace colour specialists will be able to assess the condition of your hair and discuss the look that you are aiming for.

If your hair has been damaged by over processing, your appointment will take longer as we will need to improve the condition of your hair so that it is ready for the hair colouring process. 

What is The Difference Between Ombré and Balayage Hair Colour?

Ombré hair colouring produces a contrasting two-toned effect from root to tip, whereas balayage is a more subtle hair colouring technique, and only a few sections of highlights are added to your roots. Ombré hair colour is darker at the roots and gradually becomes lighter towards the tips in a defined way, whereas balayage is more of a multi-dimensional look.

How Do I Maintain My Balayage Hair Colour?

As this method of highlighting is softest at the root area and more concentrated towards the ends of the hair, you will not need to visit us quite so often for a hair colour service. To maintain your look at it’s best we recommend that you visit Makeover Palace Hair & Beauty Salon every 8-12 weeks.

You should ask your Makeover Palace colour expert for recommendations on appropriate shampoo and conditioner products, and use these together with regular treatments at our Kidlington salon.

You will be asked to pay a non refundable 50% booking confirmation fee to secure an appointment at our Kidlington hair and beauty salon. The booking fee can be carried over to another appointment if at least 48 hours notice prior to your appointment is given.

Alternatively, if we receive less than 48 hours to cancel or reschedule your appointment or, in the case of a no show, this will result in the booking fee being forfeit.
